This set of stools was made to reflect the nature of a successful long term relationship, inspired by text from Kalil Ghibran's The Prophet: "The pillars of the temple stand apart". The two stools fit together in the form of a box: one designed object providing space for two people to connect. Each stool is independently useful, but when combined a series of new potential forms arise, from a bench to a chair with arms to a box.
